Tonight, I was fixing “nachos” for my family for dinner. The “50% Sodium” canned corn that my wife bought is good till 2010. Why do we need so much salt in our can goods, I ask?
Think amongst yourselves.

Most of modern society is based around modern plumbing. Our basic sanitation depends on it. Think of all the diseases that are kept at bay by running water, flushing toilets, and a basic understanding of sanitation? In most of the modern civilization, we know that after you go “poo” you need to wash your hands with soap. Even my 9 month old son is picking up on that concept.
So what happens when “The Apocalypse” comes, and basic services, such as running water and sanitation, break down? Is there enough embedded knowledge in society to figure out how to get such things running again? I think not.
There should be some kind of wiki out there for re-establishing modern society. It should cover such things as sanitation, plumbing, sailing ship-building, basic medicine, etc. Who’s with me?
Okay. After a series of health problems (blood pressure blow up and seizure), not to mention a sever hard drive blow out, I’ve finally gotten kickthedonkey.com back online. The downside? Everything from atlbloggers was lost. I mean everything. Data. Scripts. Database. Everything. Oh well. If people really want that back, I suppose I’ll hear about it via email.
